Garments Serve as a Second Skin: The Most Intimate Architecture we Inhabit
You are invited to witness the aftermath of a party, where garments serve as artefacts of collective experience, capturing the energy of shared interaction and negotiations frozen in time. Once worn in the circulation of collective experience, these items now sculpt shadows of the recent past, rendering the invisible visible. Material itself becomes a second skin, absorbing the imprints of human skin and retaining lived experiences within their fibres.
Night Vision is a collaborative exhibition between Royal College of Art artists and curators, as well as designers from Central Saint Martins. Visitors are invited into a shared space of what is left behind, where garments once witnessed pulsating shared energy, now stand as silent storytellers, each piece holding the essence of the individuals who have worn them, taking on lives of their own.
